Vision

“If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.”

Your ideas come together and your see your goals alive in your visions

Our vision of where we want to be or what we want to happen can be another effective tool combined with affirmations and more practical organizational tools and goal setting.  We need to –

  • Clearly see and feel the outcome
  • See what we need to do to get there

Advantages of visualization:

If you can see it and believe it, it’s a lot easier to achieve it, visualization will help –

  • Increase performance
  • Decrease stress
  • Increase positive thoughts
  • Defines what you want (and see what you don’t)

How To

I personally split my visualizations in to three parts –

  • Where I want to be in my work life
  • My family life
  • My own ambitions/goals – e.g. running goals

I visualize specific outcomes for each and then visualize doing the activities required to get there (I have found it more effective to only focus on one a day usually).

I always finish any exercises visualizing how I see today going (and this (hopefully) mirrors my journal entries).

Setting goals/visions and getting all your thoughts aligned can sometimes (at least for me) take some time 🙂
